Every day brings a new puzzle, the same for every player, and its card shows how many have already played it. It is the quickest way to train a little every day: a few minutes, one position, one checkmate to find.

Each puzzle is a position with a forced checkmate, in one move or in several: find the precise moves that deliver it. There are more than a thousand of them, free: a new daily puzzle for everyone, then as many more as you want.
How a puzzle works
You play the attacking side and the opponent answers each of your moves. A wrong move is not the end: try again. Stuck? A hint shows which piece to move, and one more click reveals the solution. Mate in one trains your eye for the finishing blow; longer mates make you calculate a whole sequence.
With a free account
Once you're signed in, every attempt is kept in your history, and the infinite puzzles follow your level, getting harder as you succeed. Without an account you can play everything; nothing is saved but your daily streak in this browser.
